African Transkei

African Transkei Magic Mushrooms (Psilocybe Cubensis, African Transkei)

Also known as South African Transkei (SAT), this strain of P. Cubensis is notable for being one of the first and only strains originating from the African continent.

Origin and Collection

The exact details of who collected the samples remain unknown. However, research indicates that the samples were gathered in January 2002 from the Wild Coast region of South Africa. Uniquely, these mushrooms were discovered growing directly in animal dung, sheltered beneath a tree.

Historical Significance: "Stoned Ape Theory"

Terrence McKenna's intriguing "Stoned Ape Theory" posits that magic mushrooms, such as African Transkei, may have been an evolutionary catalyst. According to this theory, the consumption of these mushrooms could have tripled the human brain size in less than two million years.

Early human species like Homo Erectus, originating from Africa, may have consumed African Transkei shrooms. This could have contributed to the development of their brains, leading to the evolution of modern humans, or Homo Sapiens.

Effects and Potency

The African Transkei mushrooms are renowned for their visual effects and moderately high potency. Users can expect to experience both open-eyed and closed-eye visuals with this strain.

Higher Dosage Effects

At higher dosages, these mushrooms can induce mystical experiences and profound thinking. This may lead to new perspectives and insights, making it a strain that offers more than just sensory stimulation.
